Daniel
Ramey is the Director of Finance for Relevant Business Systems.
He oversees Finance and Administration, which also includes
Purchasing, Accounting, and Human Resources. Dan’s many
duties include contract reviews, pricing, and ensuring that
the company’s financial decisions and policies are fiscally
sound.
Prior to joining Relevant in 1991, Dan worked
for Unisys/Convergent Technologies as a Senior Financial Analyst
working with the New Product Software Group.
When asked what he enjoys most about his
position, Dan responds that at Relevant, his decisions matter;
they have a “direct, material impact” on the success
of the company, and he finds this very rewarding. He also
values the many close relationships established over the years
with his co-workers.
Outside of the office,
Dan is a self-described sports nut and has played on organized
soccer, football, and baseball teams throughout his life;
he has also coached both baseball and soccer. Nowadays, although
baseball remains his favorite sport, he enjoys a good round
of golf and, when the opportunity arises, scuba diving. Dan
and his wife Joan have three children – Connor, 17,
Brennen, 15, and Molly, 12. The boys enjoy sports as much
as Dan, while Molly loves dance.
