Some INFIMACS users have asked about being able to “Navigate” from special programs like Item/Vendor Selection, that do not have the standard INFIMACS Toolbar. In the past, this could not be done because the INFIMACS framework did not have a method for creating the “Navigation” link required. A recent change to the framework DLL’s has added this capability to the “Right-Click” context-sensitive menu within INFIMACS programs. This means that in Non-framework programs like Item/Vendor Selection, a user can “Right-Click” anywhere on the screen and the pop-up menu now has a “Navigation…” option. (See screen 1 below).

If the user clicks on this option, the screen for creating the Navigation Link pops up, as it does in standard INFIMACS programs from the Toolbar. (See screen 2 below).

Once the Navigation Link has been created, the pop-up menu will have the Navigation link option enabled and the user can navigate to the desired program. (See screen 3 below).

This new functionality also works in standard INFIMACS framework programs, meaning it can be used from the pop-up menu rather than the Toolbar.

This pop-up menu also gives the user the ability to click to open notes attached to a record, using the “Notes” option, and to get the Date and File size of the current program, using the “About” menu option.
