In
the top panel, you are able to identify by part, open purchase
orders, quantity ordered, quantity accepted, quantity remaining
in receiving, quantity rejected, quantity returned to vendor,
vendor number, and vendor contact information.
In the lower left panels, first you can
see what work order shortages exist for the highlighted part
in the top panel, with work order status, quantity required,
quantity issued, quantity short, quantity scrapped, quantity
allocated, and date parts are required. In the second lower
left panel, you are able to see the parent item and order
quantity for the highlighted work order directly above.
In the lower right panel, you are able to
see the work order operations and the quantity remaining to
be completed in each operation for the highlighted work order
in the lower left panel.
This Family has built in filters which allow
you to see open purchase orders that are not all delivered,
have a quantity still in receiving, or have been completely
delivered.
In the example above, Receiving can see
for part 10-88425 that there are Work Order Shortages outstanding
for the part. This would indicate that the parts need immediate
attention and should be processed through the receiving area
quickly. Incoming Inspection has visibility to what parts
have been received and need to be inspected. Production Control
can see if the parts have arrived, are they still in receiving,
have they been accepted or rejected. This visibility can help
establish a priority to make the parts available to the Production
floor as quickly as possible.
PO Lines to WO Shortages Family is just
one example of the many standard Business Wizard Families
available today that help manufacturing companies solve business
issues.
